Do You Know How Important Micronutrients For Diet

It should come as no big surprise that the modern western diet is sufficiently lacking in several nutrients and micronutrients necessary for proper sustenance. We are all pressed for time with our lives and our jobs and our meals so much so that we often do not have the time to spend on preparing a proper diet.
So what exactly is the big deal with nutrition, eating right, micronutrients and psoriasis. The answer is buried deep within our genes as it is fairly certain that there is a hereditary component to psoriasis. Now while many of us are carrying the gene that may one day lead to a psoriasis outbreak, the fact remains, that not all carriers will experience a flare-up. The simple reason for this can be summed up in one word: triggers.
There are several known triggers for having a psoriasis flare-up such as temperature changes, alcohol, tobacco, infections, allergies to chemicals that touch us or airborne allergens that we breath and allergies to the food we ingest. One of the triggers that never seems to get enough attention is micronutrients or rather it would be better to say the lack of micronutrients in our diet.
Researchers have shown that autoimmune diseases in general and psoriasis in particular have been known to be affected by certain micronutrients that have the ability to keep the symptoms at bay. That being the case, it would behoove every psoriasis sufferer to consider adding several micronutrients to their diet through the consumption of several daily portions of various fruits and vegetables.
It is no secret that most health issues can be improved by providing the right mix of amino acids, vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids. One would think that since most of our foods are "fortified" with the aforementioned nutrients, that we would be getting all that we need through our diet. Unfortunately, nothing could be further from the truth.
There are quite a few micronutrients that most people never seem to get enough of. Things like coenzyme-Q, folate, iodine, theanine, taurine, reservatrol, n-acetylcysteine, alpha lipoic acid, and l-carnitine all work to help cells perform better. When combined with the B family of vitamins and all the other vitamins and minerals that one would consume through a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, these micronutrients help to keep a "psoriasis dormant" patient... dormant. In other words, it is entirely possible that the lack of proper nutrients and micronutrients would cause a person to develop a full-blown psoriasis condition when they would otherwise have a dormant disorder.
